Bangkok's Victory Monument

Moving from Los Angeles to Bangkok was not as traumatic as it might've been had I not visited the 'original' City of Angels a couple of times prior. I did have some 'almost-friends', one of whom owned two condominiums. The plan was to hook me up with a dwelling as soon as possible, so as to eliminate paying hotel rates in a place which I could never call 'home'.
